WHO WE ARE
Animation festival «Insomnia» – is the first Russian noncommercial open-air animation festival. Annually, on summer we find a meadow, build screens, meet guests and show best animation within a couple of nights.
Our ambitious goal is to get acquainted as many people as possible with good animation. We think, that for “right perception” open-skies and darkness, that appear as a result of the Earth motion, are necessary. Only such darkness could return us back to ourselves, unglue from illusions and rush of civilization. And what is more, we just help to “animation-goers” to meet and have a good time.
HOW IT WILL BE
SCREENS
There will be dozen hours of the newest Russian and foreign animation on 2 big screens in the open-air, not far from the river. Every night on each of them you can see festival programmes,of Suzdal animation festival, animation festival of Anneci (France), Big cartoon festival and special “Insomnia” programme.
HOW TO GET
You can get to the Festival by festival shuttles, buses, taxis, trains, cars etc. All related information, please, see here.
HOUSING
All guests could pitch a tent in the camping near the festival objects. Also tents and other staff could be hired in the area. Entrance and camping are free of charge for everybody.
FOOD
There gonna be a couple food courts. Starving ones can have tasty and inexpensive meal in 24h “Insomnia cafe” or have snacks in “Kinobar” where by day you could get delicious milk cocktails an d lemonades and by night – heating drinks. In our tea & coffee areas I’ll be able to taste different tea or coffee from all over the world.
Also it is planning to bake in the stone bread oven; vegans also won’t stay hungry.
PARKING
For those guests who are coming by car – a special guarded car park will be organized. Information about parking rate will be later.
PLAYGROUND
It will be a playground with children animation and curricula. To stay at the playground with a child is free, but if You want to leave a child it will cost 200 rub per hour.
MEDICAL OFFICE
We hope that you will receive only positive emotions and feelings on the festival, but as the festival area is far from community, in case of any harms you can get the first aid at the medical office.
ART-OBJECTS
Festival area is a huge art object where you can find creatures of different size and pretentiousness. Huge projection booths, sculptures made by industrial materials, video installations – all this awaits you!
WORKSHOPS
As the festival is held in the open-air, night is an animation time, when starry sky will replace cinema darkness, but don’t think that you will be bored other time! Within day-time you can attend different workshops and learn smth new; participate in animation creation using different techniques.
FAIR
On the fair you can find smth unique and inimitable, stock up on rare tea and coffee variety.
